About Us

Hi! My name is Grace. I am a Flower Angel!

I am the official mascot of Flower Angels USA.
My goal is to spread flowers and love to everyone who needs a little sunshine.

I visit nursing homes, hospice care, and hospitals, bringing bouquets and love to people who need to know that someone cares for them. Our beautiful bouquets are made and delivered by volunteers just like you.

Our mission is Love…

Flower Angels (3 of 24)

After visiting her mom Helen everyday at a nursing home in Provincetown, seeing how many people never received visitors, Suzanne Carter knew her next chapter in life had found her and Flower Angels USA was born. With over 2000 nursing home beds on Cape Cod, the idea of delivering random acts of love to patients who often have minimal contact with a friend or family member emerged.

Flower Angels became a friend to all who are often forgotten in elder care facilities. Flower Angels USA was founded on the idea that perfectly good repurposed flowers and lonely people were a match made in heaven. Suzanne, her daughter Mara and her amazing “angel” volunteers are thrilled to uplift spirits by delivering approximately 225 bouquets of joy weekly. By the end of each month 28 facilities on Cape Cod have been visited. Many of our senior volunteers have found camaraderie and a renewed life purpose as Flower Angel volunteers…a win-win for all!

Flower Angels USA has benefited greatly from the kindness of others including our awesome floral partners, Trader Joes, Shaws Markets and many local brides and event planners. Our 501 (c) (3) charitable organization began in March 2014. Since that time it has expanded its mission to include two other organizations; Community Connection and Cape Abilities, who have become an important part of the Flower Angels delivery team. These organizations facilitate the hiring and volunteerism of differently abled adults.…another match made in heaven.

Would you like to help Flower Angels USA on our mission?

We have been blessed with many dedicated volunteers and are always happy to welcome new ones. There are so many ways for you to help. No matter what you can do – donate flowers or money – volunteer- there is a way for you to make a difference in the lives of lonely patients.

More hands make lighter work! We need lots of hands to help deconstruct and create bouquets – no experience needed. We will train you. Volunteers of all ages and skill levels welcome. Or make pickups and deliveries.  Or help plan events. Or maybe you have a husband who is looking for something to do and could help with our dump runs to the compost pile or help pack our bouquets for delivery. There are many tasks required! You will never regret giving your time to people who need a little sunshine.

We hope you will join us. There truly is a place for your time, talent, and treasures.

Our motto: “Delivering Random Acts of Love.
Recycling Flowers…Warming Hearts.”

This Flower Angel is GREEN…I am a flower recycler

Even though my Angel dress is purple, my mission is to recycle gently used flowers from weddings, memorial services, events, and grocers. My Flower Angels USA volunteers take these (often) oversized floral arrangements and make new bouquets that we deliver all over Cape Cod.

Anything that’s left over is recycled. Want to learn more? Read our article.
